The index technology created improves the efficiency of searching massive small files

Compared to the traditional file system B+tree for file retrieval, when the number of files increases, the B+tree occupies a very large space and cannot be cached. Simply indexing access will result in multiple disk random access operations, seriously affecting the performance of file access. And MacroSAN's object storage adopts distributed hash lookup algorithm (DHT), dividing the entire storage space into a hash ring. When accessing a file, the system calculates the hash of "directory/bucket name+file name" and queries the DHT table to locate the specific disk for file access. Since the hash ring does not increase with the number of files, the search performance will not be affected by the increase in the number of files.

Ensure the security of hybrid cloud data interoperability

Considering security and confidentiality, core data will still be kept within the enterprise. The MacroSAN Object Storage Access Protocol (S3, SWIFT) is based on the HTTP standard protocol and can support free access to storage by both internal and external network application systems. In terms of security, data is encrypted and transmitted using AES, and HTTPS is supported to ensure the security of the transmission link. At the same time, multiple security technologies such as complete multi tenant access and file granularity authorization access have been defined to ensure the security of data open to external network access.
